Netflix is set to release another season of its award-winning comedy The Handmaid’s Tale.
But, according to the streaming giant’s latest earnings report, the show’s release will not happen until late July at the earliest.
According to the company, this year’s season will feature a brand new episode entitled The Handmaiden’s Tale, which will debut on July 14.
The show is one of Netflix’s longest-running series, having aired from 2006 to 2015.
Netflix has also released several other original series, including the new series Stranger Things and Marvel’s Daredevil.
Netflix’s financial results for its fiscal first quarter (July 2-10) show that it has made $1.9 billion in operating profit.
Netflix said in its earnings report that the streaming service earned $624 million in operating profits for the fiscal first three months of the year.
This was up $40 million from the same quarter last year.
In other words, Netflix was up 12% year-over-year in operating earnings, which is impressive considering Netflix had been struggling with its slow subscriber growth and declining ad revenues.
Netflix had reported operating profits of $1 billion in the first three weeks of the fiscal year, which was also up $20 million from last year’s third quarter.
